The Cure For Depession

I know what is is. Well, maybe it isn't a complete cure but it sure makes me feel better. BACON. The best thing about low carbing is BACON. I swear it causes a lift in my spirits and a smile to appear on my face. LOL. Who knew?

It is a wet, rainy, dreary day here today. I don't even want to open my curtains to look out. I prefer to sit in my dimly lit bedroom with the lamps on and just pretend that the sun will be out later. The lamps in here give off a warm pinkish glow and that is comforting to me. I miss my sunshine. I can't wait for spring to get here.

  1. YES, BACON is definitely the cure for depression and for everything else!! LOL I was so happy this weekend because I found some low sodium bacon that tastes just as good as regular bacon but with 40% less salt. Yummy!!! :)

We've got the dreary rainy weather here today too and now the snow that was on the ground has become all mushy and slushy and yucky. A nice day to cuddle up inside under the covers with a good movie.

Make the day a good one! :)

  2. Laryssa,
I like any and all bacon except the really thick stuff. It can get tough to chew, like jerky when it is too thick.

I'm sorry you have the dreary weather too.; It looks sunny out right now but just barely. More rain is predicted.

It is good to see you back in blogland. I know you have been through a lot lately. You are in my thoughts.

  3. Angela, we are in complete agreement about bacon. It is a true simple pleasure in life, in the absence of too many carbs of course. :)

  5. Bacon is yummy and something I really love. I'm glad it's a mood lifter for you.
We had snow here and no sunshine but it was bright outside which helps.
A good day here. Exercise in, job done, happy hubby and now baking a turkey. So all is really good. And Mike comes home on Thursday!!!
Have a blessed evening Karen. Take care my friend!

  6. LOL, Thanks Nanette. It isn't really happiness but it was fun to have something I really wanted for breakfast. We had been out and so I hadn't had any for a few days.

  7. Julie, Thanks. :) What was more of a mood lifter was the sun coming out later in the day. It was even warm here and I got outside for a while when I went to visit with Kristin. I LOVE turkey. We didn't do one for Christmas. I might have to make one for Easter. The only problem is that I can't resist the stuffing.

  9. LOL, Anne. You are right! Being on a plan where you can't have bacon would put a person in a bad temper. I gotta have my bacon.
